So much happened but no release in 2025!
In 2025, I spent most of my time working on Flufftopia: Fluffmazing Edition. The game is
basically ready and will be released in a few weeks on the 21st of January 2026. It is much better than the
original in almost every way. My fiancee made the graphics and cut the trailer!
In the beginning of 2026 I will also release the 2.0.0 version for Fight in the Arena. This new version
features new graphics drawn by my fiancee, more story sections and a lot of improvements overall. Over
the year I updated the game six times but the 2.0.0 will be bigger than these six updates combined. Also, I
will increase the price from 3.99$/€ to 5.99$/€ when the new version is out to reflect all the improvements
the game has received since the initial release.
Bring Back The Sun turned 5 years on the 18th of November. It’s crazy how many years have passed
since then. I released a small update for the anniversary – the first update after over three years.
Sonucido: The Mage also got a small update for its third anniversary!
I would have liked to release both Flufftopia: Fluffmazing Edition and the 2.0.0 update for Fight in the
Arena in 2025, alas it took little longer than expected but this means that 2026 will start very well.
We moved to another city in the middle of the year and are very happy about the new place. I also changed jobs two times. Right now I’m still working at a mini casino and am pretty bored. The new employer pays less than the old one but it is pretty chill overall. Between my old job at a mini casino and my new job at a mini casino I worked a few weeks for a temp agency and produced parts for cars – I actually liked it but I’m still happy to be back in a mini casino. It certainly is not an exciting job and I hope one day I can live off of gamedev but we will see how this works out. Right now the job pays the bills and reduces financial stress by quite a lot.
I barely played games in 2025, especially in the middle of the year but still finished two games at the end
of the year: Sunset Humanity and Dread Delusion. Sunset Humanity is an indie horror game – really liked
the atmosphere but the performance left a lot to be desired. Dread Delusion was really great, just
sometimes I wished for a bit more reactivity in the dialogue and some side quest chains. Extremely fun
game, had a very good time with it.
2026 will be great!
Cheers,
Daniel
